3D Printing Design Guide

Generally, a design is not perfect. It has to go through several rounds of design and modified to get the most perfect product.
You can choose appropriate materials according to actual needs. The following table is important information of various materials.

The wall thickness directly determines the strength and also affects whether the model can be printed. Once the model is printed, it also goes through support removal, deburring and sandblasting, which determines the minimum wall thickness for different materials. Only when the wall thickness reaches the minimum requirement then it will be printed. If there is a thin-walled area in your design, you need to adjust the thickness of that area. The minimum thickness we recommend is more than 0.8mm~1.0mm.
Convex & Concave Structure
The smallest convex and concave structures are usually determined by the accuracy of the printer. The minimum height/width requirements of different materials are recommended to be above 0.6mm~1.0mm. When the minimum height/width is less than the size requirement, it will not be able to print accurately, and it will not be possible to perform post-processing such as deburring and sandblasted. At this time, it is recommended that you increase the height/width, remove the part or choose other suitable materials.
Sharp Corner
It can be prevented when the wall is thick or thin, and the model with obvious surface is easy to be damaged during the reduction of support, improvement, and transportation. If there is a sharp area, its angle needs to be greater than 20°. If cannot meet the requirements, it is recommended that increase the sharp surface angle,remove the sharp area or change other materials.
Deep Hole/Bent Hole
If there are deep holes, bent holes, blind holes, etc in your design, as shown below, The inner diameter of the hole needs to be larger than the minimum hole diameter. The minimum hole diameter we suggest is more than¢1.5mm.
